Fabio Maldonado is set to compete Roger Hollett on FX 8 at UFC. Fabio will be fighting on his hometown, Brazil. This light heavyweight collision is the upcoming fight card for UFC.
The entire Brazil is excited about the next fight card of Ultimate Fighting Championship's! The fighting between Roger and Fabio seems to complete the fight card in Brazil. This exclusive fight is scheduled to be held on 18th May 2013 at Arena Jaragua, in Santa Catarina in Brazil.
Both the fighters experienced a devastating loss in their previous bouts. Hence, both the UFC fighters will be striving hard to get back their names in the winning column. It is expected to be a tight fight in fact!
This news was first announced by TATAME, a news outlet of Brazil. UFC officials are yet to give confirmation about the news.
Of late, Maldonado (18-6) is seen to be down on his fortune. He has lost three bouts consecutively at UFC. This is indeed a great loss for this famous fighter. A fighter after losing three UFC bouts on a consecutive basis is presented with another fight. This is quite an unusual incident for any renowned fighter! Maldonado got this opportunity because of his ability to participate in some exciting fights and also to bear tremendous punishment.
In other words, it is solely because of the capability of Maldonado that gave him another chance to prove his capacity.
This Brazilian fighter recorded 1-3 in the entire UFC season. Since 2010 October, he has no winning record of MMA or mixed martial arts.
Hollett (13-4), on the other hand, was seen in any of the fights since last September. In the month of September last year, he gave an unimpressive performance against Matt Hamill in the Octagon debut. Since 2009, this was the first defeat of the Canadian fighter. His record dropped in UFC to 0-1.
The grand fight between Hollett and Maldonado is likely to occur on preliminary portion on FX 8's fight card of UFC. Want to see it online? It will come on air on FUEL TV and Facebook.
